Wonder Woman 1984 release date has been moved again. Warner Bros. announced today that the comic book movie will be released on October 2, 2020. The new release date was announced shortly after the company revealed that they will be moving Christopher Nolan’s Tenet release from July 17th to open on its new July 31. Tenet will star THE BATMAN actor, Robert Pattinson.
The initial announcement tweet listed WW84’s new release date as November 25, before the Twitter account deleted the tweet and replaced the premiere date. This is the 4th time that WW84 has been pushed back. Wonder Woman 2 was previously set for December 13, 2019, and then moved to November 1, 2019, again to June 5, 2020, before moving from August 14 to October 2.release date.
Wonder Woman 1984 is the ninth installment in the DC Extended Universe. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins. It will take place in the 80’s during the Cold War between the US and the then-Soviet Union, and will see Diana Prince/Wonder Woman faces two new villains, Kristen Wiig’s Barbara Minerva, aka Cheetah, and Pedro Pascal’s Max Lord while dealing with the mysterious return of Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor.

Jenkins wrote the film with Geoff Johns and David Callaham. Gal Gadot made her debut as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), before making her full debut in Wonder Woman (2017) and Justice League (2017). The first Wonder Woman film was the highest-grossing movie of summer 2017 earning $412.5 million in the US and $821.8 million worldwide.
