WONDER WOMAN 1984: Diana Prince feature on the cover of SFX magazine.

SFX magazine has released an exclusive look at their May cover featuring Wonder Woman 1984. The issue will be available from May 20. Warner Bros. announced last month that the Wonder Woman sequel will be released on August 12 instead of June 5 due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Wonder Woman 2 will take place in the 80s 1980s during the Cold War between the US and the then-Soviet Union, and will see Diana Prince/Wonder Woman faces two new villains,  Kristen Wiig’s Barbara Minerva, aka Cheetah, and Pedro Pascal’s Max Lord while dealing with the mysterious return of Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor.

Wonder Woman 1984 is the ninth installment in the DC Extended Universe. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins. Jenkins wrote the film with Geoff Johns and David Callaham. Gal Gadot made her debut as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), before making her full debut in Wonder Woman (2017) and Justice League (2017). The first Wonder Woman film was the highest-grossing movie of summer 2017 earning $412.5 million in the US and $821.8 million worldwide. The film was previously set for December 13, 2019, and then moved to November 1, 2019, before settling on June 5, 2020 release date.

WW84 stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, and Gabriella Wilde. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins. Jenkins also co-wrote the script with Geoff Johns and Dave Callaham.
