Deadline is reporting that Flula Borg (Ralph Breaks the Internet, Pitch Perfect 2 ), has been cast in James Gunn‘s The Suicide Squad. The German actor, DJ, and comedian character role in the upcoming DC Comics’ movie is still unknown, however, the site has revealed that he will play a “love interest to one of the characters in the Warner Bros. release.”
Gunn’s relaunch of The Suicide Squad movie will star Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), David Dastmalchian (Polka-Dot Man), Daniela Melchior (Ratcatcher) and Idris Elba will allegedly play Bronze Tiger. Other rumored cast includes John Cena as Peacemaker and Michael Rooker as King Shark. Benicio del Toro is allegedly in talks to play the role of the main antagonist known as The General.
The first Suicide Squad movie grossed $745 million worldwide, with an all-star cast consisting of Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, and Cara Delevingne.
The Suicide Squad is set to hit theaters on August 6, 2021.
