The Joker movie director ,Todd Phillips,shared on Saturday a new image featuring Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck with the caption “Editing”, hinting that the movie has reached the editing stage.
Todd Phillips (The Hangover) is directing and also co-writing the scripts with Scott Silver. The film will star Joaquin Phoenix as the Prince of Crime a.k.a The Joker. The live-action movie taking place in the 1980s. The Joker film will be under a new Warner Bros. banner that will be outside of the DCEU (DC Extended Universe).
The Joker was created by Bill Finger, Bob Kane, and Jerry Robinson. The fictional character first appeared in the debut issue of the comic book Batman (April 25, 1940), published by DC Comics.
The Joker was planned to be killed off during his first appearance, but thanks to an editorial intervention, the character went on to become Batman archenemy and one of the most iconic supervillain in comic book history.
The Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Frances Conroy, Marc Maron, and Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond, and is set to hit theaters on October 4, 2019.
