Marvel Studio reportedly moving forward with Ms. Marvel. According to Charles Murphy of Murphy’s Multiverse, the studio has started casting calls for the role of Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel. Marvel Studio allegedly called back actresses to continue the auditioning process. Ms. Marvel is due to shoot in Atlanta, Georgia, which starting to all film and TV production.
Disney and Marvel TV unveiled the official logo for the upcoming live-action television series adaptation based on Ms. Marvel back in August 2019. The logo was first revealed at D23. The show will premiere exclusively on Disney+ streaming service.
The show will allegedly be “a part of the MCU, allowing Kamala Khan to join the other characters on the big screen at any point.” Bisha K. Ali (Four Weddings and a Funeral), will helmet the show and act as showrunner. It was also revealed that Khan will also feature in Square Enix’ “Marvel’s Avengers” video game.
Kamala Khan was created by editors Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker, writer G. Willow Wilson, and artists Adrian Alphona and Jamie McKelvie. She made her first appearance in Captain Marvel #14 (August 2013). Ms. Marvel has Inhuman genes with shapeshifting abilities. Khan is Marvel’s first Muslim character to headline her own comic book.
