According to reports, Mark Hamill will play The Joker in Arrowverse’s Crisis on Infinite Earths. Hamill voiced Joker in Batman: The Animated Series. If rumors are true, Hamill will join co-star Kevin Conroy. Conroy voiced Bruce Wayne in the series and will play an old Bruce Wayne in the upcoming arrowverse crossover event.
The event was recently teased on the seventh season finale of Arrow where Oliver Queen (The Green Arrow) agrees to travel the multiverse with the Monitor to warn other worlds of the crisis in order to save Barry and Kara. The Arrowverse crossover will begin this December consisting of an episode of each series Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl, then end January 2020 with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman.
Hamill previously played The Trickster in three episodes of The Flash. The actor first played the character in 1990’s Scarlet Speedster television series. Other confirmed appearances includes Cress Williams’ Black Lightning, Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor, Elizabeth Tulloch’s Lois Lane, Burt Ward’s Robin from Batman ’66, Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman and Brandon Routh as Super. Tom Willing (Smallville) is also rumored to make an appearance on the show as kingdom come Superman.
Crisis on Infinite Earths was written by Marv Wolfman and pencilled by George Pérez. The comic book was first serialized as a 12-issue limited series from April 1985 to March 1986. it was followed by Infinite Crisis (2005–2006) and Final Crisis (2008–2009).
