Lex Luthor and The Monitor are ready to set their plans in motion in the new Crisis on Infinite Earth‘s promotional video. Lex Luthor presumably died in the Supergirl season 4 finale, but the new extended clips from the recent episode of Batwoman and Supergirl revealed that The Monitor saved Lex Luthor’s life to help him with his plans to ensure the future of the multiverse.
In addition, the clip also features the encounter between the Monitor (LaMonica Garrett) and Martian Manhunter (David Harewood). Nash Wells (Tom Cavanagh) has finally succeeded in opening the secret passageway underneath Central City and getting transported to a destination unknown.
Crisis on Infinite Earth crossover event was first teased on the seventh season finale of Arrow where Oliver Queen (The Green Arrow) agrees to travel the multiverse with the Monitor to warn other worlds of the crisis in order to save Barry and Kara. The Arrowverse crossover will begin December 8, consisting of an episode of each series; Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl, then end January 2020 with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman.

Crisis on Infinite Earths was written by Marv Wolfman and penciled by George Pérez. The comic book was first serialized as a 12-issue limited series from April 1985 to March 1986. it was followed by Infinite Crisis (2005–2006) and Final Crisis (2008–2009).
