The release date for the next trailer of Joaquin Phoenix’s The Joker movie has been revealed. The announcement was made by the movie official Instagram, which shared six new teaser from the movie with a brief flash of hand-written spelling “trailer 8.28” when putting together all the hand-written flashes from all the six sneak peak. The hidden message means the trailer will drop on August 28th.
Todd Phillips (The Hangover) is directing and also co-writing the scripts with Scott Silver. The film will star Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime. The live-action movie taking place in the 1980s. The Joker film will be under a new Warner Bros. banner that will be outside of the DCEU (DC Extended Universe).
The Joker was created by Bill Finger, Bob Kane, and Jerry Robinson. The fictional character first appeared in the debut issue of the comic book Batman (April 25, 1940), published by DC Comics. He was planned to be killed off during his first appearance, but thanks to an editorial intervention, the character went on to become Batman archenemy and one of the most iconic supervillains in comic book history.
The Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Frances Conroy, Marc Maron, and Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond, and is set to hit theaters on October 4, 2019.
