Netflix Announces Magic: The Gathering Anime Series With Avengers: Endgame Directors.

Netflix and Wizards of the Coast have announced that Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo will oversee their new television anime series adaptation of Magic: The Gathering. The news also come with the anime show new teaser visual featuring of Chandra.

Anthony and Joe Russo will executive produce the series with Mike Larocca and Isaac Krauss. Todd Makurath, Eric Calderon, and Dave Newberg will produce the series, and Henry Gilroy (Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and Jose Molina (The Tick, Agent Carter) will write the script.

Netflix described the anime show as “Magic’s unique magic-wielding heroes and villains as they contend with stakes larger than any one world can hold.”

Magic: The Gathering  was created by Richard Garfield in 1993 for Wizards of the Coast. It was the first trading card game and over twenty billion Magic cards produced in the period from 2008 to 2016 alone.
