Cagaster of an Insect Cage will be released on Netflix on February 6.

Netflix just announced that an anime adaptation of Hashimoto Chicken’s The Mushikago no Cagaster (Cagaster of an Insect Cage) manga series will exclusively be distributed via the streaming service in Japan starting February 6th.

In a near future, an illness called “Cagaster” made ​​its appearance. It turns humans into insects. The story begins 30 years after the onset of the illness, in 2125. It follows the adventures of Kidou, a boy who fights insects.

Hashimoto Chicken published Mushikago no Kagaster web manga series on his official site “Chicken no Tamashii” in 2010. Tokuma Shoten officially published the series on January 12, 2016.

GONZO is producing the anime and Koichi Chigira (Tokyo Babylon, Full Metal Panic!, Last Exile) is directing.
