Netflix’s official YouTube Channel and Twitter account began streaming a Japanese and English teaser trailer for the television anime adaptation of Hashimoto Chicken’s The Mushikago no Cagaster (Cagaster of an Insect Cage) manga. The series will exclusively be distributed via the streaming service worldwide on February 6th. Additionally, the main cast of the series was also unveiled.

GONZO is producing the anime and Koichi Chigira (Tokyo Babylon, Full Metal Panic!, Last Exile) is directing.

Hashimoto Chicken published Mushikago no Kagaster web manga series on his official site “Chicken no Tamashii” in 2010. Tokuma Shoten officially published the series on January 12, 2016.
In a near future, an illness called “Cagaster” made its appearance. It turns humans into insects. The story begins 30 years after the onset of the illness, in 2125. It follows the adventures of Kidou, a boy who fights insects.
