We finally have our first look at Black Adam‘s suit for the upcoming DC movie. Dwayne Johnson posted a new behind-the-scenes showing the actor wearing the costume. Although it’s a black and white shot taken from behind, it is our best look yet at how the costume will look in the movie. You can the textured detail of Black Adam’s bodysuit in the image, but what intriguing is that the former pro-wrestler revealed costume is not a padded muscle suit. Meaning, the muscle in the suit is the product of his intense workout for the movie. The film is expected to wrap up filming soon, so it is not long before we get the first official look at the anti-hero.
“This image of Black Adam from behind gives you a tactile sense of the absolute massive scale and size of our movie. You also see a little of the intricate and beautiful textured detail of Black Adam’s bodysuit (this is not your typical DC or Marvel padded muscle suit). And finally, you get a glimpse of the enormous and appropriate destruction. As we all know, superheroes have a code of justice and don’t kill the bad guys. But, Black Adam does. The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is changing. Antihero. Man in black. Protector of his people.”
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and written by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani, Black Adam is expected to be released on July 29, 2022. The film stars Dwayne Johnson as Teth-Adam / Black Adam alongside Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi, Quintessa Swindell, and Pierce Brosnan.
