Dwayne Johnson says the cool part about playing Black Adam is that the anti-hero has the same abilities as Superman. Johnson made the statement while receiving a generation award at 2019’s MTV Movie & Television Awards.
“Black Adam has the same powers as Superman,” Johnson said in a backstage interview with MTV. “Think about that! That’s why it’s so cool and exciting.”

Jaume Collet-Serra will direct the movie and dam Sztykiel is writing the script. The Black Adam movie is produced by Johnson and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions, along with Beau Flynn of the Flynn Picture Company.
Created by Otto Binder and C. C. Beck, Black Adam made his first debut in The Marvel Family # 1 (December 1945).
Black Adam has a May 24, 2020 release date.
