The new season will feature a new creative team and studio

On Wednesday a listing from NHK’s “Changes in Domestic Programs in the Second Half of 2020” document revealed that Attack on Titan The Final Season anime will begin broadcast on December 7. Now the anime official Twitter account has confirmed the news with the unveiling of a brand-new key visual.

Attack On Titan The Final was first listed for October 2020 but seem like the coronavirus outbreak had affected the series production.

MAPPA will the new animation studio replacing Wit Studio. Yuichiro Hayashi will direct the new season of the Attack on Titan anime series with Hiroshi Seko penning the series scripts. Hayashi also directed Dorohedoro anime.

Attack on Titan Anime 3rd Season was broadcast in two parts, with the first 12 episodes aired from July to October 2018, and the last 10 episodes aired from April to July 2019. The first season of Attack on Titan aired in 2013. The Second Season of the anime series premiered in April 2017. Hajime Isayama first published the manga at Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine on September 9, 2009.
