Attack on Titan Manga Series Finally Over!

Attack on Titan manga series has finally ended! The series ran for 11 years and 7 months since it was first published in October 2009 in the first issue of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. Attack on Titan reached its conclusion in the May issue of Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine on April 9 in Japan. We won’t be discussing the ending yet in fear of spoiling it for both manga and anime fans, but readers took to social media to thank Hajime Isamaya for his incredible work on the series with the hashtag #ThankYouHajimeIsayama. Isayama also drew an illustration titled “Friends,” and “End Memory” to celebrate the ending of the series. Bessatsu Shonen Magazine Editorial Department also published a special message to thank the readers.

The manga currently has up to 33 volumes and has more than 100 million copies in circulation. The final volume, 34, will be released on June 9th. Attack on Titan anime series first aired back in 2013. The anime shows’ official Twitter account recently revealed that Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2, the series final season will start broadcast in Winter 2022. A Hollywood live-action movie based on Attack on Titan manga is currently in development with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them producer, David Heyman.
