Akira Toriyama Wants a Broly, Cheelai and Lemo series.

‪While fans eagerly wait for news about the next Dragon Ball series, Akira Toriyama has revealed that he’d love to work on a project focusing on Broly, Cheelai and Lemo. The author made the reveal in a Q&A responses in the Broly anime comic, released last week.‬

In the translation provided by Twitter user Cipher_db; Toriyama says Cheelai and Lemo were two of his favorite characters in Dragon Ball Super anime film and If has the chance, he’d like to see the trio play a role in the future of Dragon Ball franchise.



Toriyama launched Dragon Ball manga series in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1984 to 1995. Dragon Ball was based on the classical Chinese novel Journey to the West, as well as Hong Kong martial arts films. A TV anime series adaptation of manga series produced by Toei Animation: titled Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, aired from 1986 to 1996.

Dragon Ball Super the anime series sequel to Toriyama’s original Dragon Ball manga and the Dragon Ball Z premiered in Japan in July 2015 and ended its television broadcast run in March 2018. The anime show featured the first new storyline of the franchise in 18 years. Dragon Ball Super follows Goku and gang four years after defeating Majin Buu. The manga series has adapted 20 animated feature films.
