The Dragon Ball anime series franchise asking fans to pick their favorite version of Goku in celebration of Goku’s day on May 9. Fans will be able to choose which Goku is their favorite between Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and the Dragon Ball Super: Broly film variation of the character. The campaign will run on the Dragon Ball series special site from May 9 until May 31. The version of Goku with the most votes will appear in a variety of merchandise to be released next year.
The franchise stuff will pick 59 random voters who will be rewarded with a special prize. Naohiro Shintani (Dragon Ball Super: Broly animation director) drew a special key visual for the campaign site.
In other news, last month Super Dragon Ball Heroes stuff announced during a live stream that the franchise will make a big reveal on the card game official website on Goku’s Day. The announcement key visual used Shintani art style design for Goku Super Saiyan Jin Blue leading fans to believe that it had something to do with Dragon Ball Super anime season 2 announcement.
Back in March rumors suggested that the Dragon Ball Super TV anime show will return on July 2019. The new series was said to be adapting the Dragon Ball Super. Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga Manga arc which will include the new villain Moro.
Dragon Ball Super anime is a sequel to Toriyama‘s original Dragon Ball manga and the Dragon Ball Z television series featuring the first new storyline in 18 years. The anime show follows Goku and gang four years after defeating Majin Buu. The manga series illustrator Toyotarou revealed that the anime show will reach ending of Dragon Ball Z television series, which skipped 10 years after the last chapter and saw Goku meet up with Majin Boo’s human reincarnation, Uub.
