The official anime website adaptation of Takeru Uchida’s Isekai Cheat Magician fantasy novel series announced on Saturday that the TV anime show will begin airing in July, 2019.
The series is being animated by Encourage Films. Daisuke Tsukushi ( Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory, Girly Air Force) is directing with scripts by Takayo Ikami. Shuji Maruyama (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s) is charge of character designs.
Uchida launched the ongoing series in the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” (Let’s Be Novelists) website in 2012. A spinoff manga by Taku Kawamura titled “Soreyuke! Isekai Cheat Magician” (Go Forth! Fantasy World Cheat Magician) launched in Kadokawa’s Shōnen Ace magazine last August.
The story centers on Taichi Nishimura and his friend Rin Azuma, who both get transported into a fantasy world. While in their previous world, Taichi is a normal person who just has higher than average reflexes, both he and Rin gain high levels of physical and magical ability, and begin their new life as magicians.
