TBS Animation began streaming a new teaser trailer for the television anime adaptation of Iro Aida’s Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun (Jibaku Shōnen Hanako-Kun) manga. The promo video features a preview of the anime series opening theme song “No.7” by Chibaku Shōnen Band. In addition, the trailer also features a song from the new unit comprised of Yoji Ikuta, Masayoshi Ōishi, and ZiNG. Akari Kitō will perform the ending theme song “Tiny Light.”
Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun anime will feature the voice of Megumi Ogata as Hanako-Kun, Akari Kitō as Nene Yashiro, Shōya Chiba as Kou Minamoto, Yūma Uchida as Teru Minamoto, and Minako Sato as Aoi Akane. The show will be produced by Lerche with Masaomi Andō (Astra Lost in Space) as director. Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Carole & Tuesday) wrote the series scripts. Mayuka Itou is designing the characters, and Yūji Higa is the animation producer.
Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun anime will premiere on January 9, 2020, will have 12 episodes. Aida launched the manga in 2014, and currently runs in the monthly magazine GFantasy and is being published by Square Enix.
