The official website for the TV anime show adaptation of FUSE’ s That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) lightnovel has revealed that the series will be receiving a second season in 2020. The anime series official Twitter account also made the announcement with a brand-new key visual. Which you can see below.
Fuse serialized the fantasy light novel series online between 2013 and 2016 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō with illustration by Mitz Vah. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) received two manga adaptations with the first adaptation illustrated by Taiki Kawakami in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine from 2015 – present. The second manga adaptation was illustrated by Shō Okagiri in Micro Magazine’s Comic Ride from 2016 – present.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) first television anime series adaptation produced by 8-Bit premiered on October 2, 2018. The show last two episodes will premiere on March 18 and March 25, respectively. The March 18th episode is titled “Kuro to Kamen” (Black and Mask), and will be an anime original story showing an encounter between Shizu and Diablo. The March 25th episode is titled “Veldora Nikki” (Veldora’s Diary).
Yasuhito Kikuchi is returning to direct the TV anime series second season at 8-Bit, with Atsushi Nakayama as assistant director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is in charge of series composition. Ryouma Ebata will design character for animation, and Takahiro Kishida is in charge of monster design.
