Following the success of Castlevania, Netflix unveiled today their next anime project based on a video game. And it’s CAPCOM’s original Dragon’s Dogma game! Next on Netflix Twitter account shared on Tuesday the trailer for the anime series produced by Sublimation. In addition, the streaming service also released the series poster and synopsis.

The story follows a man’s journey seeking revenge on a dragon who stole his heart. On his way, the man is brought back to life as an ‘Arisen’. An action-adventure about a man challenged by demons who represent the seven deadly sins of humans.
009 Re:Cyborg, Walking Meat director, Shin’ya Sugai, is in charge of the series with Iku Nishimura as the character designer. Kurasumi Sunayama is writing the script and Netflix’s Taiki Sakurai serving as executive producer. CAPCOM’s Hiroyuki Kobayashi and Takashi Kitahara the show’s are co-producers.
Netflix is also developing The Witcher anime film tie-in titled The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.
Dragon’s Dogma will debut worldwide on September 17 exclusively on Netflix.
