Fans of Harley Quinn animated series won’t have to wait long to see the show back on the DC Universe. The streaming has announced that the animated series second season will debut on April 3rd, 2020. Additionally, the Harley Quinn official Twitter account shared some footage from the upcoming second season.
The Harley Quinn animated series streamed between November 29th and until February 21st. The show stars Kaley Cuoco as Harley Quinn, Lake Bell as Poison Ivy, Ron Funches as King Shark, Alan Tudyk as Clayface and The Joker, Tony Hale as Doctor Psycho, Diedrich Bader as Batman, and Sanaa Lathan as Catwoman.
Cuoco also serves as the half-hour adult animated comedy series executive producer alongside Justin Halpern, Dean Lorey, and Patrick Schumacker (Powerless). Cuoco is the second The Big Bang Theory actress to voice Harley, Melissa Rauch voiced the character in Batman and Harley Quinn’s animated film.
Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, also known as Harley Quinn first appeared in the Batman: The Animated Series episode “Joker’s Favor” in September 1992. The fictional character was created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm. Harley made her first comic book appearance in DC Comics’ The Batman Adventures #12 (September 1993). The character was portrayed by Margot Robbie in 2016 in DC’s live-action adaptation movie of Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey. Robbie is set to reprise her role in James Gunn’s THE SUICIDE SQUAD.
