Crunchyroll has announced the cast for Tower of God, the anime series based on SIU’s manhwa of the same name. The series will feature Taichi Ichikawa as Bam, Saori Hayami as Rachel, and Houchu Ohtsuka as Headon. In addition, Crunchyroll official YouTube began streaming a new promo video of the series.
The series’ animation will be produced under the title “Kami no Tō: Tower of God“ in Japan. In addition, the key visual also revealed that the show will begin broadcast in April 2020. Telecom Animation Film is animating the anime with Takashi Sano (Transformers: Energon) as director. Hirokazu Hanai (Dances with the Dragons) is the assistant director. Erika Yoshida (Trickster) is in charge of series composition. Masashi Kudo (Bleach) and Miho Tanino are designing the characters. Kevin Penkin (Made in Abyss, The Rising of The Shield Hero) is composing the music.
Korean creator SIU, real name Lee Jong-hui, launched Tower of God manhwa in 2010 as the first story in the “Talse Uzer” universe. The Webtoon has been translated into Japanese and English by Naver. Tower of God received a mobile game in 2013 developed by Sunrise. The series follows a boy named Bam, who enters a tower to chase after his friend Rachel and get her back.
Tower of God centers around a boy called Twenty-Fifth Bam, who has spent most of his life trapped beneath a vast and mysterious Tower, with only his close friend, Rachel, to keep him company. When Rachel enters the Tower, Bam manages to open a door into it as well, and faces challenges at each floor of this tower as he tries to find his closest companion
