The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Mehcad Brooks (Supergirl) has been cast as Jackson “Jax” Briggs, Sisi Stringer as Mileena and Tadanobu Asano as Raiden respectively in MORTAL KOMBAT live-action reboot.
James Wan is producing the reboot of 1995’s Mortal Kombat and 1997’s Mortal Kombat: Annihilation movie with Simon McQuoid serving as director. Greg Russo is writing the film script.
Previously announced casts includes Ludi Lin as Liu Kang and Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero. The relaunch based on the Mortal Kombat video game franchise will be shot in South Australia later this year.
Mortal Kombat live-action movie adaptation will be released on March 5, 2021.
